about me
Hi there! I’m Alexa Tuttle — a writer, director, and lifelong storyteller devoted to crafting imaginative adventures for kids and the young at heart. My work celebrates the humorous, the zany, and the unexpected, whether I’m writing children’s picture books, comedy novels, or scripts for the screen.
My storytelling journey began in front of the camera — as a child actor, voice artist, and print model. From starring in a national Silk Soy Milk commercial (with my sisters and dad!) to modeling for Disneyland and even shooting in Tahiti, I discovered early on how stories can connect people across worlds.
I went on to earn my BFA in Film Production (Directing emphasis) from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. My senior thesis film (which I wrote and directed), Intrepid, went on to win over 20 awards at festivals worldwide and even screened at San Diego Comic-Con!

Since then, I’ve written across genres — from the NHL-backed picture book The Vegas Golden Knights: Defenders of the Ice, to my action-adventure spy novel Over the Top Secret, which won Best Comedy Top Pick at the 2024 Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Awards and received recognition from Writer’s Digest, and a few Amazon best-selling steamy romance novellas — under a pen name! I’m also a voice actor and have voiced video game characters, narrated audiobooks, and even improvised a line for a Disney+ series.
When I’m not writing or performing, you’ll find me soaking up the Maui sunshine, bingeing New Girl (again), or crafting quirky new tales for The Giggler — my Substack newsletter for anyone who loves to laugh, dream, and embrace the silly side of life. It’s also where I share personal stories, including my husband’s inspiring fight against ALS and our family’s ongoing adventure here in Hawaii.
I love pickleball, Parmigiano-Reggiano, secret doors, theme parks, pockets, and of course... giggling!
Welcome to my world of stories. I’m so glad you’re here.
